If it's  excitement you are looking for then Afan Forest Park boats world class mountain bike riding.

Sweet trails built in and across the a very nice landscape.  Two main trails are the 16km 'Penhydd' and the 23km 'Wall'. The Wall getting its name from the climb required. The Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre is central and making a base for yourself at the Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre will give you direct access to these two trailheads.

The bike centre has a repair shop, bike wash and showers (and a little food to hang out).
